Ministry of Defence Inks ₹586 Crore Contract with Accurate Industrial Controls

NEW DELHI : In a major boost to indigenous defence manufacturing and operational readiness, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a ₹586 crore contract with Pune-based Accurate Industrial Controls Private Limited for the procurement of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) for T-72 and T-90 Main Battle Tanks. The agreement was formally executed in New Delhi in the presence of Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh. Serving as an alternate power source for critical systems—including fire control, firing circuits, gun stabilization, and ancillary electronics—the indigenously developed APUs will enhance the operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of the Indian Army’s Mechanised Formations. Developed under the Make-II initiative, the contract highlights industry-led research and development and underlines the Ministry’s commitment to self-reliance under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision and the roadmap toward Viksit Bharat @2047.
