KOCHI: In a major humanitarian healthcare initiative aimed at mitigating the financial burden on economically vulnerable kidney patients, the Rotary Club of Cochin Midtown, in strategic collaboration with Muthoot MCred and Lisie Hospital, has officially launched a free dialysis support project. As part of the ceremonial rollout, Rtn. Tony John, President of the Rotary Club of Cochin Midtown, presented the project funding check to Rev. Fr. Paul Karedan, Director of Lisie Hospital, during a solemn function held in Kochi. The event was graced by eminent Rotary leaders, including Past District Governor (PDG) Rtn. Babu Joseph, alongside former Rotary presidents Rtn. Gopakumar, Rtn. K.K. George, and Rtn. T.T. Thomas. Designed to extend life-saving renal care to the most deserving segments of society, the newly unveiled community initiative will fully sponsor and facilitate 300 free dialysis procedures for patients requiring long-term maintenance hemodialysis. Hospital authorities and Rotary leadership highlighted that the campaign aligns with Rotary’s core commitment to community service and public health, ensuring that socio-economic constraints do not prevent underprivileged individuals from accessing uninterrupted, high-quality nephrology treatment.
