Kochi : The Ernakulam District Committee of the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES) Youth Wing organized a widespread ‘Email Challenge’ to protest the implementation of excessive fees on UPI transactions. As part of a statewide agitation, protesting trade union members sent emails directly to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressing their strong opposition. KVVES Youth Wing Ernakulam District President and State Working President Pradeep Jose stated that members from all units across the district actively participated in the campaign. The district-level launch of the email challenge took place at the Vyapara Bhavan in Ernakulam and was inaugurated by KVVES Ernakulam District President and State Treasurer P.C. Jacob. Key organizational leaders including District General Secretary C.S. Ramachandran, Treasurer P.A. Kabir, Working President Jimmy Chakyath, Working General Secretary Shajahan Abdul Khader, District Vice President M.C. Paulson, Women’s Wing District President Jaya Peter, alongside Ernakulam constituency representatives and Youth Wing office-bearers, addressed the gathering.
