COCHIN: The Rotary Club of Cochin Lords, in collaboration with Campion School, Cochin, has announced the launch of Rotary Waves 2026-27, a two-day junior talent festival that aims to provide young children with a platform to showcase their creativity, artistic skills, and stage confidence. The event, open to students from pre-school, kindergarten, and primary school, will be held at Campion School, Edappally, on July 11 and July 18, 2026.
Designed to encourage holistic development at an early age, Rotary Waves will feature competitions in both creative arts and cultural performances. The first day, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on July 11, will include Colouring (Crayons), Drawing, Painting, and Handwriting competitions. The second day, scheduled for July 18, will focus on stage events such as Single Dance, Fancy Dress, Paragraph Reading, Best Baby Contest, and the coveted Rotary Prince & Princess titles, offering participants an opportunity to display their confidence and talent before a wider audience.
Organisers have announced that July 8, 2026, will be the final date for submitting entries. A registration fee of ₹100 per participant for each event has been fixed, and each child may participate in up to six individual competitions. Participants are required to report at the venue by 8:00 a.m. on the respective event days. School uniforms will not be permitted, and the organisers have also confirmed that the entire campus will follow a strict plastic-free policy during the programme.
Winners across various categories will be honoured with attractive prizes during the closing ceremony on July 18. The organisers have invited parents and schools to encourage young children to take part in the festival, describing it as an opportunity to nurture talent, build confidence, and celebrate the creative abilities of children.
The event is being organised under the leadership of Rtn. Adv. Anitha Mathai Muthirenthy, President of the Rotary Club of Cochin Lords, along with Rtn. Nancy Johnson, Secretary, and Rtn.
