Tata Motors Partners with Drivn to Accelerate Electric Commercial Vehicle Adoption

KOZHIKODE: In a strategic move to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles (EVs) across India, leading EV leasing platform ‘Drivn’ has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors to offer specialized leasing and financing solutions for fleet operators. Under this partnership, the entities aim to deploy over 1,000 electric trucks within the next two years. The collaboration addresses key industry entry barriers, such as high upfront capital costs, enabling fleet operators to seamlessly transition to electric mobility.

Tata Motors has already introduced a comprehensive portfolio of electric trucks ranging from 7 to 55 tonnes under its ‘Tata Trucks.ev’ brand. These zero-emission vehicles cater to diverse applications, including e-commerce logistics, construction material transport, and port operations. Highlighting the initiative’s vision, Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Business Head of Trucks at Tata Motors, stated that the company remains committed to driving India’s shift toward sustainable transportation by making electric commercial vehicles more accessible and viable for fleet owners nationwide.
