Kochi: The sixth edition of the B2B ‘Bake Expo 2026’, organised by the Bakers Association Kerala (BAKE), which represents more than 12,000 bakery owners, will be held from October 9 to 11 at the Adlux International Convention Centre, Angamaly. The expo aims to showcase the latest trends, innovative technologies and new ideas in the bakery industry. The expo will be inaugurated by Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty at 11 am on October 9, while the Bake Care Foundation coupon will be launched by Benny Behanan MP at 3 pm. On the second day, October 10, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will inaugurate ‘Bake Next’, a FoodTech and Bake Innovation Pitchathon being organised for the first time in Kerala to provide a platform for startups and entrepreneurs with innovative ideas in the food and bakery sectors. Former Minister K. Babu will be the chief guest, while Minister for Women and Child Development Adv. Bindu Krishna will present awards to the best ideas. The third day will feature the Smart Team conference, a gathering of the next generation of bakery entrepreneurs who trace their legacy to Mampally Bapu, who pioneered cake-making and the bakery business in Kerala after producing the first cake in Thalassery on December 20, 1883. Ernakulam District Collector G. Priyanka will inaugurate the conference at 10.30 am, with Smart Team State President Nived Nath presiding. The valedictory session at 3 pm will be inaugurated by Higher Education Minister Roji M. John. BAKE State General Secretary Biju Prem Shankar, Vijesh Viswanath, A. Noushad, District President V.P. Abdul Saleem, V.S. Sivadas and Sarun announced at a press conference at the Ernakulam Press Club that more than 1,000 entrepreneurs are expected to visit the expo.
