Kochi: The campus of Teresa Spinelli Public School in Pottakuzhi erupted into a spectacular display of color and sportsmanship as students and staff gathered to celebrate the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup. Transforming the campus into a vibrant festival of football, students and teachers arrived dressed in the iconic jerseys of their favorite competing nations. The school grounds were elaborately decorated with flags from various countries and massive cutouts of global football superstars, setting a perfect stage for the sporting extravaganza.
The energy reached a peak as students performed synchronized dance routines to the official FIFA World Cup theme song, showcasing the immense cultural and athletic enthusiasm of the younger generation. Adding to the competitive spirit, the school organized a series of engaging events, including a thrilling penalty shootout competition, a World Cup-themed sports quiz, and an exciting exhibition match. Fr. Nibin Kuriakose, a member of the Archdiocese of Varapuzha, graced the occasion as the chief guest, joined by the entire school community of students and faculty who actively participated to make the inaugural celebration a grand success.
