KOCHI : The three-day Table Top Exercise (TTX) conducted under the aegis of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) successfully culminated at the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) in Visakhapatnam on September 12, 2026. Inaugurated on September 09, 2026, with an opening address by RAdm Manoj Jha, Chief Staff Officer (Operations), ENC, the exercise focused on formulating a ‘Coordinated Response to Illicit Maritime Activities in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).’ Over 72 hours, maritime security experts and delegations from CSC member states and observer nations engaged in simulated operational scenarios targeting complex, non-traditional security threats, including maritime terrorism, narcotics smuggling, human trafficking, and illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. By streamlining information-sharing frameworks and reviewing existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA), the exercise reaffirmed the Conclave’s commitment to regional peace and stability in alignment with India’s MAHASAGAR vision.
