Iconic Malayalam Film ‘Thenmavin Kombath’ Set for Theatrical Re-Release in 4K Dolby Atmos 

KOCHI: Priyadarshan’s timeless Malayalam cinematic masterpiece, Thenmavin Kombath, starring Mohanlal and Shobana, is set to make a grand return to the big screen in ultra-high-definition 4K with Dolby Atmos sound on October 1, 2026. Jointly restored by global post-production leader Prasad Corporation and Matinee Now, the original 35mm film negatives were scanned at an extraordinary 8K resolution and meticulously digitally restored to Super 4K resolution, paired with a newly mixed immersive Dolby Atmos audio score. Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Kuthiravattam Pappu, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, and Sukumari, the re-release aims to offer modern moviegoers a nostalgic yet visually stunning theatrical experience while retaining the original aesthetic essence and cultural charm of the classic.
