The Kerala Garments and Distributors Association (KGDA) has declared a just legal and democratic struggle to recover lost money and ensure justice for small traders exploited by corporate giants.
Kochi: The Kerala Garments and Distributors Association (KGDA) has announced a strong protest against the exploitation of small-scale garment traders by large corporate players. KGDA President D. Anand Kumar Pai, Secretary Jinoy Varghese, and Treasurer Nirmal Raj stated in a press conference that they will not accept the stance of corporate giants who deceive ordinary small traders who are struggling for survival — many of whom have sold property or taken loans to stay afloat in the garment business.
They further informed that complaints will be submitted to the Chief Minister, Ministers, and the Director General of Police. The Association has launched a fight through legal and democratic means to recover the money lost by its members and to ensure justice. They also stated that the Association would collaborate with similar organizations and explore all possible avenues to recover the lost funds of their members.
