KOCHI: The Kerala state unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by N.A. Muhammed Kutty, has officially announced its merger with the All India Forward Bloc (AIFB). Addressing a press conference at the Ernakulam Press Club, leadership representatives confirmed that the formal merger ceremony will take place on October 5 at the Ernakulam Town Hall. The faction decided to sever ties with the NCP following the national leadership’s alignment with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), prompting the Kerala unit to integrate into the AIFB, a constituent of the United Democratic Front (UDF). The merger convention will be chaired by N.A. Muhammed Kutty and inaugurated by AIFB National General Secretary G. Devarajan. Party leaders, including AIFB State Organizational General Secretary Kallara Mohan Das, State General Secretary Adv. T. Manoj Kumar, and District Secretary Baiju Menachery, emphasized that this unification will significantly consolidate the Forward Bloc’s political influence and presence across Kerala.
