Mentalism Show ‘Cryptic 2.0’ by Nipun Niravath on September 27

Kochi: ‘Cryptic 2.0’, a mentalism show led by renowned mentalist Nipun Niravath and presented by Wesmira Events, will be held on September 27 at 7 PM at JT Pack, Thrippunithura. Speaking at a press conference held at the Ernakulam Press Club, Nipun Niravath said that mentalism is a powerful art and form of entertainment and should not be marketed as a supernatural power or exploited for commercial gain. He pointed out that there are instances where people exploit fear and belief by claiming that ordinary objects possess supernatural powers and charging money for such claims. According to Nipun, the growing tendency to excessively use the curiosity surrounding art forms such as mentalism, hypnosis and illusion for social media reach is concerning. He also expressed concern over the circulation of videos related to subjects such as hypnosis that promote an unrestricted approach instead of a scientific and responsible understanding. He said that when reach alone becomes the objective, the value of the art itself is diminished. Nipun clarified that ‘Cryptic 2.0’ is neither a supernatural act nor a display of mystical powers, but an artistic and entertaining performance designed to create wonder and curiosity in the minds of the audience.
