South Indian Bank Conducts Disaster Management Mock Drill at SIB Tower

Kochi : South Indian Bank conducted a disaster management mock drill at SIB Tower as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance employee safety and emergency preparedness. The programme was jointly organised by the bank’s Facility Management Group, the National Safety Council and the State Fire and Rescue Services Department. Fire Officer Nizam from the State Fire and Rescue Services Department led the training sessions. Employees were provided with practical training on safety precautions to be followed during emergencies such as fire incidents, the proper use of firefighting equipment, evacuation procedures and fire escape protocols. A practical evacuation drill was also conducted to assess employees’ preparedness for emergency situations and familiarise them with rescue and evacuation procedures. The simulated emergency scenario provided employees with an opportunity to understand and practise appropriate safety measures in a controlled environment. Employees actively participated in the mock drill conducted as part of the programme. The training forms part of South Indian Bank’s continued efforts to strengthen workplace safety awareness and ensure effective emergency preparedness among its employees.
