Aster Medcity’s ‘Spandanam’ Mobile Medical Unit Begins Journey in Palakkad

Palakkad : Aster Medcity’s ‘Spandanam’ mobile medical unit, organised as part of its World Heart Day initiative, began its outreach programme in Palakkad. Vadakara MP Shafi Parambil inaugurated the mobile medical unit at Palakkad Stadium Bus Stand. As part of Aster DM Quality Care’s initiative to provide 40,000 free ECG screenings, the ‘Spandanam’ programme by Aster Medcity will conduct around 2,500 free ECG screenings along with doctor consultations, blood pressure and blood sugar tests across five districts. Following the initial screening programme in Palakkad, the mobile medical unit will continue its journey to other districts. The unit will travel across Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Idukki districts. Shafi Parambil MP said the ‘Spandanam’ initiative launched by Aster Medcity to promote heart health among the general public was commendable and worthy of emulation. Aster Medcity Chief Operating Officer Dr. Shuhaib Qader said the initiative was being implemented as part of the organisation’s social responsibility and commitment to protecting the heart health of people. Through the mobile medical unit, the initiative aims to make essential heart health screenings and consultations more accessible to communities across the five districts.
