National Trauma Care Conference ‘TRAUMASICON 2026’ from September 24 at Kolenchery MOSC Medical College

State Health Minister K. Muraleedharan to inaugurate the three-day national conference

Kochi : The 13th National Conference of the Indian Association of Traumatology & Critical Care (IATCC), jointly held with the Annual CME Programme of the Kerala Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), will be conducted as ‘TRAUMASICON 2026’ from September 24 to 26 at MOSC Medical College, Kolenchery. The three-day national conference is jointly organised by the Departments of General Surgery, Critical Care and Emergency Medicine of MOSC Medical College, Kolenchery.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Golden Hour to Survival: The Trauma Care Continuum.’ Leading experts in emergency medicine and trauma care will present papers on advanced treatment methods in emergency departments, life-saving interventions, comprehensive management of critical injuries sustained in accidents, disaster management and other related areas. As part of the conference, a six-hour comprehensive CME programme led by eminent faculty members will also be conducted for postgraduate students.

The official inauguration of TRAUMASICON 2026 will be held on September 26 at 11 a.m., with State Health Minister K. Muraleedharan inaugurating the event. Benny Behanan MP, V.P. Sajeendran MLA, Hospital CEO Aju Jacob, Organising Chairman Dr. Varghese Paul, Organising Committee Executive (Academics) Dr. Santhosh Balakrishnan, Medical College Dean Dr. K.K. Divakar, IATCC President Dr. Rajshekhar Mohan, Secretary Dr. Girish Bakshi, ASI Kerala Chapter President Dr. N.R. Sajikumar and Secretary Dr. R.P. Ranjin, among others, will attend the function.

Ahead of the conference, practical workshops will be organised on September 24 for young doctors and postgraduate trainees. The sessions will cover areas including cadaveric surgical training, artificial intelligence in trauma care, ultrasound, vascular anastomosis and airway management.
