Aster DM Quality Care Limited Reports Strong First-Quarter Growth Following Merger

KOCHI: Leading healthcare provider Aster DM Quality Care Limited has reported a 20% growth in revenue, reaching ₹2,597 crore for the first quarter ending June 30, 2026. This financial performance was bolstered by a 30% increase in operating profit, which stood at ₹576 crore, pushing the company’s operating margin up by 170 basis points to 22.2%. This marks the first financial report released by the combined entity following the merger of Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care.

During the quarter, Aster DM Healthcare’s revenue surged by 22% to ₹1,311 crore, with its operating profit (excluding the Kasaragod unit) rising by 30% to ₹279 crore. Meanwhile, Quality Care registered a 19% increase in revenue to ₹1,287 crore, with an operating profit growth of 32% to ₹299 crore. Notably, the newly established Kasaragod hospital achieved profitability within just nine months of operations. Dr. Azad Moopen, Executive Chairman of the entity, affirmed that the organization will fully capitalize on its expanded network, clinical expertise, and community impact. Managing Director and Group CEO Varun Khanna added that the group treated over 20 lakh patients across inpatient and outpatient departments during this period, reflecting a 13% increase compared to the previous year.
