JSW MG Motor India Launches Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV Models

Kochi: JSW MG Motor India has launched its latest SUV, the Hector Tomahawk, in the Indian market. Built on ‘ADAPT’, India’s first multi-new energy vehicle (NEV) platform, the SUV is available with two powertrain options — all-electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Measuring 4,745 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm, the Hector Tomahawk is positioned as one of the longest and tallest SUVs in its segment. Available in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, the SUV offers spacious cabin accommodation, a premium ‘Desert Squadron’ interior theme and a panoramic skyroof.

The Hector Tomahawk EV is powered by a 69.2 kWh Magic battery, offering a claimed driving range of 517 km on a single charge. The Tomahawk PHEV, positioned as India’s first plug-in hybrid SUV, combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5 kWh battery to deliver a driving range of more than 1,100 km on a full tank and full charge. Key features include Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology, which can supply power to homes, a 15.6-inch HD display, Level 2 ADAS safety systems and a GenAI voice assistant capable of understanding more than 30 Hinglish voice commands. The vehicle also comes with a lifetime battery warranty for the first owners.

Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, the Hector Tomahawk EV is priced from ₹13.99 lakh, along with a battery rental of ₹4.90 per kilometre, while the Hector Tomahawk PHEV starts at ₹21.79 lakh, with a battery rental of ₹3.20 per kilometre. For customers opting for outright vehicle ownership, the EV variant starts at ₹19.49 lakh & PHEV Models at ₹ 69 lakh ex-showroom. Bookings for the Hector Tomahawk have commenced. Deliveries of the Hector Tomahawk EV are scheduled to begin in September 2026, followed by the PHEV model in November 2026.
