Kerala Seller Count Surpasses 38,000 Ahead of Festive Season
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: E-commerce major Amazon India has officially crossed the landmark milestone of 2 million registered sellers on its platform, driven by its strongest annual seller onboarding growth over the past three years. The expansion reflects a massive surge in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) digitizing their operations, with Kerala contributing significantly with over 38,000 active sellers and more than 11,000 local neighborhood stores (Kiranas) onboarded. To empower sellers ahead of the upcoming festive shopping season, Amazon India is deploying advanced AI-driven tools and technical infrastructure to help small businesses optimize cataloging, inventory, and customer reach. Furthermore, the company announced it will host over 20 interactive ‘Seller Connects’ and ‘Ads Hive’ workshops across major Indian cities to train local entrepreneurs on maximizing festive sales through data-driven digital storefronts.
