Signify Brightens over 18,200 Students

Kochi : As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Jagmag Pathshala’, global lighting leader Signify has upgraded lighting and basic electrical infrastructure across 56 government tribal welfare residential schools in the Parvathipuram Manyam district of Andhra Pradesh. The project has transformed the learning environment for over 18,200 tribal students by making their classrooms safer, brighter, and more comfortable. By installing energy-efficient ceiling fans, tube lights, and outdoor lighting systems, the initiative has significantly improved overall school infrastructure and campus safety. Signify reported that these upgrades have led to noticeable increases in student attendance, classroom focus, and active participation in both academic and sports activities. Implemented in collaboration with Janakalyana Samakhya and the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), this project reinforces Signify’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities through quality education and sustainable infrastructure.
