Kozhikode: Bayer has introduced a next-generation insecticide named ‘Trans’ to help small-scale cotton farmers in India effectively control pests. The product is designed to manage major pests such as aphids, jassids, and whitefly nymphs, and will be available across key cotton-growing states, including Kerala.
‘Trans’ has been developed by combining two different modes of action. It provides protection to both existing and newly growing leaves, and remains effective even after rainfall. The company stated that the product will help improve crop health, enhance productivity, and increase farmers’ income.
“Bayer’s innovations are driven by a deep understanding of the evolving challenges faced by farmers. By combining two modes of action, ‘Trans’ ensures effective and sustainable pest control while improving crop health, productivity, and farmers’ profitability,” said Mohan Babu, Chief Operating Officer of Bayer Crop Science India.
The product will be available in 100 ml, 220 ml, and 500 ml packs. The company added that this launch reflects Bayer’s commitment to sustainable agricultural development and improving farmers’ productivity through scientific innovations.
